AmazeVR is a VR concert platform company that brings artists closer to fans anywhere at any time through proprietary immersive technologies. Through our full-service solution, fans come face-to-face with their favorite artists in a virtual experience by integrating the artist’s performance in 8K+ stereoscopic live-action videos into surreal environments that transcend reality. Our distribution model optimizes for quality and reach—we’re partnering with movie theaters around the world to transform traditional auditoriums into VR concert venues, and we’re releasing online through the AmazeVR music metaverse app across major home VR headsets.
Founded by the co-founder and early executives of Kakao, a $35B market cap mobile platform company, AmazeVR has offices in Los Angeles (HQ) and Seoul. In 2019, we closed a $9.5MM Series A round of fundraising with seasoned investors in the tech and media space. Since then, we’ve built our Unreal Engine-based technical foundation, began our collaboration with 3x Grammy-winning artist Megan Thee Stallion and Roc Nation, and secured an additional $15MM to build the future of music.We’re thrilled to be creating VR Concerts with an incredibly talented and passionate team. After an incredible premiere as a SXSW official selection, we just released the world’s first ever VR concert tour with Megan Thee Stallion, selling out 75% of shows and achieving 85% total occupancy rate for a 10 city US tour before we even launched. Who you are
•
3+ years of experience in a business strategy function, preferably in entertainment
•
Proven success working with decision makers and deftly guiding complex decisions
•
Extremely logical and data-driven, using insights to frame strategic recommendations and to lead towards optimal decisions
•
Ability to develop actionable business strategies and solutions under the information and resource constraints of a startup in an emerging industry
•
Proficient in professional documentation and communication in various formats
•
You know what real hustle looks like - resourceful in a fast-paced evolving environment, will meet tight deadlines, and can calmly solve unforeseen issues that may develop
•
Proactive and entrepreneurial - excited about working at a VC-funded startup with a small team while wearing multiple hats
•
A “yes… and!” person, not a “yes, but…” person
Preferred
•
MBA or other advanced business degree
•
Experience in management consulting and/or in a startup or launch environment
•
Passionate about building the future of music
•
Excitement for VR and immersive technologies
Responsibilities
•
Develop the short-mid term business plan and roadmap, working with operations, marketing, and product
•
Present recommendations for management decision-making based on qualitative and quantitative methodologies to include business forecasting and literature search
•
Resolve cross-functional business issues, collaborating with internal and external stakeholders
•
Establish, assess, and manage business KPIs, strategy, and budgets
•
Evaluate and source new business opportunities and spearhead new business initiatives
